Attaboy, Fred.

Also noteworthy is that the legal test is *only* in California and thus lenders in other states are still out in the cold, and may remain so indefinitely, given some Prosper remarks re the viability of suing borrowers in Texas.

Is there anyway to link the names above to their prosper screen names? I'd love to be able to track my lawsuits.

Isn't it amazing how quick they were to threaten 112233 for his www.prosperreport.com website compared to how slow they are going with these lawsuits?

Brava. If only there were more lawsuits against the deadbeats.

Prosper should be stepping up efforts in Illinois, Colorado, and more suits in California. IMHO

I don't think Prosper has ever viewed itself as a loan company. I think they think of themselves more as a loan broker, who takes a cut to facilitate the transactions between a borrower and lender. If it were their money, I've gotta believe they'd be more aggressive. Since it's not, you have what we have now.

"Prosper has simply never taken collections seriously"

And you think they will start now? It's our money they are playing with. Why should anything change when they can keep up the "good numbers"?

Florida is another state with major DEADBEAT borrowers. We need some court cases in FL.

Also, borrowers should agree on their loan applications to give any lender on their loan full disclosure (their real name, prosper name, email and phone number) with permission to contact them as needed until loan is repaid.

They owe us money, we should be able to contact our borrowers.

I hate to mention it, but even after the default judgement is issued, we and/or Prosper's attorneys have to find the people, attach bank accounts, levy wages, and/or ask the court to threaten arrest if they don't pay the judgements. (Rules vary by state - bla bla bla).

Seven of the loans are mine - I want these lawsuits to produce $ results! I'll be glad to help track down these deadbeats after names are published and judgements issued.

Borrower Parks was "Red Ice" - selling cellphones in the Torrance Mall (Calif). If he hasn't gone back to Taiwan, he'll be selling something somewhere - and looking for investors - should be easy to find.
