I hadn't been paying a lot of attention to comments on my blog posts until yesterday. Well, actually I hadn't been paying a lot of attention to my blog at all until yesterday. Anyway, I noticed quite a few spam type comments appeared over the last week or so. I'm not sure how these things get in/posted but I changed a setting on my blog so that any comments will now have to be approved by me before being posted. I would prefer to have comments available immediately but I don't want to be promoting spam either. I'll try to check in now and then to approve comments that are legitimate. I just thought I'd mention this change and explain the reason.

Edit to add: I've changed the settings back now that Ferrix fixed it so only members can post comments now.  Thanks Ferrix. Any further comments on my blog should be published immediately.
