My remaining p2p instincts make me strongly prefer to know what's happened to my late borrowers.  I feel much better about them defaulting if I know they've tried than if they just ignored me.

+1.  I used to PM late borrowers too, but almost all of them simply ignored my messages which really pissed me off.  Yes, shit happens and sometimes you can't pay your bills, but at least man up and have the courtesy to explain to your lenders what happened.  The ones that can't be bothered, I hope they rot in hell.
Hell, would be to good for them. they deceived people, lied, and then was too much of a coward to let anyone know what had happened. There must be something worse than hell! I've got it a gang of angry prosper lenders in the same room as them. Oh wait that could be a courtroom, or torture chamber.

Cool. $10.32 for me. I assume this one will go through, why would he bother to set up the payment otherwise?

Maybe the rich inlaws are paying it off to avoid her going to jail??  I'll try to remember to check PACER on Monday.

Another recovery payment (over 2x the amount of the last one).  A pleasant surprise.

Was in PACER.

Oakland Gaerke asked the court to dismiss the adversary proceeding upon independently reaching agreement with Ashley Gaerke.  He asked to have the case dismissed WITHOUT PREJUDICE (so he could refile, if needed) but stated that he anticipated making all of his scheduled Ch 13 payments.

I wonder what that's all about -- maybe Ashley agreed to pay him back for the loans she took out in his name.  While that may be fine for him, I sure would have preferred an adjudication that the loan was indeed identity-theft (meaning that Prosper breached its mis-named "100% identity-theft guarantee").
