Classic comment from Urbi to a poster who said they were leaving:
"Once again, we note that your threats are hollow and you come across like a sad, lonely blowhard.
I doubt anyone here gives a shit about you. We pretty much all know that you are a vile and unethical parasite of a human being with an abnormal craving for attention."

Made a transfer out yesterday....may make another one for my "once a month below $25" deal soon Yeah I had $19 in my account. I didn't wait I transferred it out. The $350 that's left in there (due from my borrowers) might not be accessible anymore. Who the fuck knows... Prosper changed the LA 9,000 times it's going to be a mess if/when Prosper goes into BK.

[speculation] If Prosper's VC are as confident/optimistic as they were when they last funded Prosper, seems to me at least ONE of them would have given Prosper a new round of funding by now.
Me-thinks either they've already taken a pass at this point or they're driving hard bargains with a game of brinksmanship. [/speculation]

The last round of VC came when Prosper supposedly still had a lot of cash left in the bank from the prior round. Now, Prosper is searching for lost coins in the bus station couch's cushions.

Looking at some of the new executives and board members that have been installed in recent months, I have been quietly speculating that things are being geared up to replace current management.

Remember from the 10-Q... We have incurred operating losses since our inception and we anticipate that we will continue to incur net losses through 2010. Our failure to obtain sufficient debt and equity financings and, ultimately, to achieve profitable operations and positive cash flows from operations could adversely affect Prosper’s ability to achieve its business objectives and continue as a going concern.
It's right below the several paragraphs where they complain that if .ORG wins the class action lawsuit--Prosper will have to shut down; unless of course they get their insurance payment. Yeah Prosper. Fucking over your Lenders did you a lot of good.

It won't matter in a liquidation. Might as well keep the same clowns in place because they know where all the bodies are buried.

Unless the peeps at Capital One can buy the bodies for cheap and transfer the technology (and the customer data) in-house.
Again, just speculation.

You think Capital One or any subprime lender will want to touch this turd if it didn't even generate one penny in net profit during the boom years and doesn't seem to be doing it now? Liquidation also does nothing about the class action or the smattering of states that have still banned Prosper. It's nuclear waste right now.
