Hmm.  Did I miss something?  Oh well.  I guess that's what happens when I stop paying attention.

(I should know - I used to bid on Maryentom loans)
Likewise.  Maryentom was the first group that tried to cater towards lenders, but Tom became disgusted with borrowers pretty fast.

I have to ask myself why I'm a little weirded out by this.

I'm not sure who bama wants to whack here, HO, zcommodore, or both...

To paraphrase Islandmele

"It's time to build the brand"

Just for the record, Islandmele never said that.  Fortune888 made a post referring to her group as the "Ohana brand," and she responded in a tongue-in-cheek way, saying it has taken time to build her group up to the point where it is now, and that it has been a community effort.

Here's the post:

Point well taken, Fortune.  It's taken time to develop and build the "Ohana brand" and it's been largely a community effort.  For the most part, the reputation of the Ohana derives from the past performance of our Borrowers.

She really thinks it is a brand.

She really thinks it is a brand.

She put "Ohana Brand" in quotes, and she was clearly responding to Fortune888's post.  I thought about including Fortune888's post in my reply above to provide context, but thought it might be overkill.  I should have though, 'cause it clarifies Islandmele's response.

Anyway, my point wasn't really about whether she thought of her group as a "brand," but just that she never said "It's time to build the brand."  She was just saying that it has taken time to build her group's reputation.

Someone should look up "Islandmele" and "Malama Ohana" to see if it's been trademarked by IM yet.  Tongue
