Prosper Success Story!!!
« on: July 26, 2009, 12:33:58 pm »

2nd try to nominate for the lobby.   :D

ETA:   Without disclosing PII of the borrower, until Prosper poofs this "success", you can see her for yourself on Prosper.com, just click on "Stories".  She's the 3rd one down.   She went to Prosper to borrow twenty-thousand dollars.

Her beauty spa is 1 block away from Prosper's headquarters, which is even funnier.

And you can imagine what happened with this sparkling beauty of a loan:

Just more proof that Prosper's lack of decent collections has really hurt the lenders.  >:(

I doubt anyone here gives a shit about you.  We pretty much all know that you are a vile and unethical parasite of a human being with an abnormal craving for attention."

but but but...

It really IS a success story. She walked away with TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS, and all she had to do was take about 5 mins and throw up a listing. She doesn't have to worry about collection agencies calling, or getting sued, or repaying that money.

Now that's success.

Some Lender success stories:
Click on the links and look at the value of the defaults:

http://www.ericscc.com/lenders/Fred93

http://www.ericscc.com/lenders/pensioner

http://www.ericscc.com/lenders/carrey79

http://www.ericscc.com/lenders/Shark

Fred93 was the only one of these four lenders who used his brain while lending. Note that his ROI is positive, though small.

We used to wonder WTF the other three thought they were doing.

I still can't believe there's a new batch of lenders, who have been ruined in the stock market last year and facing dismal household income prospects for the future, that continue to bid.

And there's probably a bunch of lenders who lost their Prosper logins long ago or haven't bothered to look at it in a year and don't realize Prosper reactivated their portfolio plans to get them bidding again.   If you forgot to stop it while Prosper was deactivated, I'm sure Prosper was kind enough to switch it back on so you wouldn't have to bother with that.   :ninja:

I seriously doubt that, since the underlying parameters have changed and require editing to get canned searches to work.  I am sure the same changes would have to be made before portfolio plans could or would be used.

Godfather is correct - they deactivated all old portfolio plans and saved searches and added an option to convert them one at a time to the new Prosper Ratings system instead of the old Credit Grade.

I'm sure they needed to sign sign the new lender agreements first.

Some Lender success stories
Shows you just how poor a job Prosper has done at collections and lawsuits.  It's disturbing, isn't it?
