After a couple of days of thinking and questioning back and forth with the law firm doing the class action against Prosper.com I have finally filed my paperwork with them. Since I'm the stated 'lender' I did have to get my wife's blessings on this since this is her money too technically. Let's see what happens from here.

Goodbye Prosper.com...

I hope you take the lawyers words to heart when he told you to keep non public things non public.

You have a long history of switching sides.

I let Mr. Kim know that I wanted to join the class action suit.  I suspect that I now have the dubious distinction of that largest amount of charge offs - -$345,018.54.  Can anyone top that?

I have not been reading and posting to this board because it is no fun thinking about my losses...I am in denial, I suppose.

That looks kinda weird ;)

Good to see you around - but yeah, you're probably at or near the top on losses :(

I'm happy to have pensioner join us too.
But is this really him?
From what little I know of him (from the PD '07 videos) this doesn't quite sound like him.

Just checking...

Yup, it's me.  If I don't sound like the old pensioner, it is just because my attitude toward Prosper has taken an about face.

Hi Pensioner, welcome.

You should get access to the verified lenders forum here.  The instructions are at http://www.prospers.org/wiki/HowToGetLenderAccess.  There may be stuff there that would be of interest to you.  And the required step of adding "verified identity" to your Prosper member profile would also eliminate any doubts as to whether you are really you.

It is really him. I asked him via PM to let lenders know what his status is. He pm-ed me back that he was joining and that He would post that himself.

Subject: Prosper issued Cease and Desist from SEC. Also other lenders file class action suit against Prosper
Hi,
As a large Prosper lender, I thought you might be interested in the fact that Prosper was issued a Cease and Desist letter from the SEC (http://www.sec.gov/litigation/admin/2008/33-8984.pdf). In addition, a number of Prosper lenders have filed a lawsuit hoping to get class action status.

I know you were a big supporter of Prosper and invested a lot of time and money. Prosper was selling securities illegally and you may be entitled to compensation for that..

Here is a link where you can read more http://www.prospers.org/forum/prosper_order_to_cease_and_desist_by_sec-t10903.0.html

Regards,
FM
