I was googling yesterday and saw an ad needing someone to create a clone for Prosper.com.  I don't remember when or where it was posted but now I'm wondering if it's for this site.

that has been around for ages. I think the guy is trying to get away with paying a programmer 20 bucks or something stupid like that.

Yea, but we know that email address is a typo, 'cause aikoa.com is those guys in Guatamala, who are preparing to sell knives and forks or something, as best I can figure from their flash marquee.  Note that the other email address said aikoa.fi, rather than aikoa.com .  The kid who is stealing text from prosper.com and editing it isn't even very good at stealing and editing.

This wouldn't be the first time that the Prosper site's content has been copied by an unrelated website (assuming that is what happened here). 

Shortly after it launched, Prosper successfully sued a company in federal court for copying its content and posting an identical website.  And our old friends at FAN had a site in development that copied Prosper.com content, but with a half-assed search-and-replace job to change the name of the company from PMI to whatever name FAN was using for that project.  However, it still listed Prosper's address as the FAN front's location, and Giedgowd as its compliance officer.   The site went down shortly after Prosper gave FAN the boot.
