I can't get Prosper.com to open at all.  No one else is having that issue?

Minimum credit scores from individual borrowers will be 640.

640 was the bottom end of the "C" credit grade.  Goodbye to the old "D" and "HR".   Good move.

I'm finding D E and HR......
It seems there is a separate area for P2P

The "E" has a "consumer credit score" of 700 to 720 and a Prosper score of 5???

This one's a B with a consumer credit score of 560-580: http://www.prosper.com/invest/listing.aspx?listingID=414865.  It's a FIVE YEAR auto repayment listed by "a specialty finance company that provides automobile financing for new and used vehicles for less creditworthy consumers."  Wow.  I'm intrigued.

Oh.  There are some better ones:

http://www.prosper.com/invest/listing.aspx?listingID=415076  HR with 11 current DQs ($6551 worth!) and a purported consumer credit score of 720-740???  Typical bs description:

Quote
The purpose of the loan is to assist me in paying off my tax bill. I am a good candidate for the loan because I have steady employment and a low debt to income ratio.  I am honest and hard working and will repay the loan.  I just need someone to give me a chance.

Here's a Prosper AA: http://www.prosper.com/invest/listing.aspx?listingID=414975  Consumer credit score of 600-620???

He's obviously had at least 11 chances.

I think Prosper has some work to do on consistency of credit scores.  I wonder if they're giving three different scores (one low, one middle and one high) for each, so they can claim they appropriately warned when these go late?

Prosper missed me.  They lifted my suspension a day early.

Ya know,  I could be suspicious, but these kind of look like "junk" loans that "Auto Lenders" want to get rid of so they aren't stuck with defaults themselves!   I might as well stick my money into Junk Bonds!  hehe

No, they're only allowing CA lenders.

even though i'm in CA i am refusing to click on the "click here for your new prosper lender agreement" button... I'm on the withdraw-only plan 'till they ACTUALLY COLLECT the loans that're already bad in my portfolio (ie i see cash come-in)...

guess they're trying to stay-afloat long enough for us to cash-out what hasn't already been stolen from us via those fraud-enabling-monkeeys @ prosper.

NOT!

Seems a $0.00 balance is considered a negative balance.

You aren't the only one that has gotten that.

Somebody needs to teach Prosper's programmers that Negative is < 0.00, not <= 0.00.

From a quick glance:

Only lenders from CA
You no longer have a "Lending", you have an "Investing" tab
It doesn't show on that "Investing" tab the status of your lates unless you click that again and then they are in numerical order, not time late order
Many loan companies are selling loans (I thought it was Prosper who was going to try to sell loans?). I've seen loans up to 72 months

Are they providing pictures for the borrowers? Many (all that I've seen, actually) look like stock photos. Or are they pumping it full of fake borrowers? Maybe these are just the "loans to sell" as mentioned above

Just a quick look.

Or it could be a rounding issue.
Account Balance: $10.009, rounds up to $10.01.
Transfer out $10.01
New account balance:  -$0.001
Negative balance, show warning.

Unfortunately I don't see any place to view the exact account balance.

Based on the initial round of listings, first impression is that the new prosper.cal is primarily a place for auto finance companies to unload their dicey paper.

example: 2001 Grand Am with 118% LTV.  http://www.prosper.com/invest/listing.aspx?listingID=414862

All of their "stories" have the amount invested.....as of 5/2008 IIRC some of those were filmed at PD08?
