Prosper bidding history only goes back to Oct 2007.What a scam. They totally blow off all the 40% default months before then.

Prosper's Improved Risk Rating System

Prosper has also improved its credit grading system with the introduction of a new proprietary credit grading system called Prosper Ratings. Prosper Ratings are based on historical loan performance data and are designed to better convey risk. While the estimated loss rate and estimated returns have been shown at the point of bidding since October 2007, the Prosper Rating letter grade will now be shown in the listing along with a narrower credit score range and other extended credit data.

Credit scores shown will be in 20 point ranges (previously 40) and will be consistent across all listings.

The way I read it,you can register as an institutional lender from anywhere & loam, then resell to anyone.

That would be a dirty trick...

Looks like they changed all the loan numbers as well.

If you go to your account activity, they still list the loan ID's from the old system, but if you click you get hit with a

My account says "view notes"

Isn't that all the proof we need in court?

Looks like 10 out of the current 109 listings aren't the CPS company reselling loans.

Looks unlikely ANY of those will fund.

Q: Are the 10 second loans?

I see one is a new loan - but they've tried 2 other times before the quiet period to get a loan and failed:

Looks like one of those 10 has actually had an increase in credit score.  :ninja:

The are apparently basing the credit score on the payments to CPS.

No way this one is a "B"

Minimum credit scores from individual borrowers will be 640.

640 was the bottom end of the "C" credit grade.  Goodbye to the old "D" and "HR".   Good move.

My Google alerts came up with two stories that may be of interest:

Peer-to-Peer Lender Relaunched

Quote
Scott Langmack of Hillsborough, Calif., recently rolled over about $600,000 to Lending Club. His portfolio -- which holds about 1,300 loans -- has been earning an annual rate of about 13% since he started investing seven months ago. "My view is that in the next three years, I don't expect the [Dow Jones Industrial Average] to be over 10000," he says. "So why bother with the stock market at all?"

 ::) :o ::)

wow wtf... I have no idea who this guy is, but you'd think they could do a little better research before printing stuff like this.   while 13% over 7 months is not unheard of, but just wait until his portfolio is 12-18+ months old
