Correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't the performance statistics still up here: http://www.prosper.com/welcome/marketplace.aspx

You can't perform your own searches and the data set is limited to a 2009-2010 time frame, it sounds like OP is half right half wrong....

The performance data is up, just not all of it, and it seems LIKELY that it will return, but they've temporarily disabled our ability to query the data set as we choose...

always a good idea for your 1st forum post to insult one of the most respected members

Reminds me of the "new" discussion forum.  They hid the links, so it was almost impossible to find them, and if you tried posting, it took days for moderation to occur, rendering the whole thing useless.

Then, they made the statement that since almost nobody used the forums, they decided to take them down.

If so, how Eric's site managed to update the numbers a couple of days ago?

It's just the loan performance data that's gone. The loan data is still there, we just won't know anymore how the loans are performing.

I think erics is updating the loan performances. Maybe he is getting the data from the API, I'm not sure how that works so I can't say for sure. I checked last night and the loan perf data is still not available in the xml downloads.

Ericscc seems be be updating with SOMETHING.

So, even though we don't have an easy way to validate the data, he's getting SOMETHING - and that SOMETHING looks WEIRD for the past two weks.

The performance stats were nothing close to what I lived. I really do not miss them.

Thanks for clearing that up.  I would have said, "The performance stats were nothing close to what I experienced." - but ce la vi.
