I guess they're too busy investigating the other stale bankruptcies.
One can hope.  I have no idea what Prosper is doing about this and other stale bankruptcies.  They have not responded to my inquiry about the bankruptcy filing on loan #383.

FWIW, Prosper still hasn't posted the past due amount on my loan.  I guess they're too busy investigating the other stale bankruptcies.

Sorry 'bout that!  :P

I have three Ch.13 BK's -- not one has made a single payment:
Loan 18252  Listing 185107  filed 1/11/10
Loan 15955  Listing 143499  filed 4/19/10
Loan 13217  Listing 118349  filed 9/8/08   >:(

I also have two Ch. 7 BK's filed long ago with no discharge yet:
Loan 16015  Listing 148555  filed 2/27/10
Loan 13033  Listing 115947  filed 8/21/09

I wonder how many of these Prosper has screwed up?  Time to email Prosper in an effort to find out (I'm sure Prosper will be overjoyed to hear from me  :ninja:).

ETA:  I just emailed Prosper.  We'll see what they say.  Also, +2 (or whatever) on Lobby -- this thread is 100% Lobby-worthy.

Well, after a full week, Prosper has replied:

Dear Ira,

Prosper will research these loans to ensure the bankruptcies were handled correctly and corresponding filings were made in the required timeframe. Please allow some time for Prosper to complete the investigation. As soon as more information is available we will contact you with the findings. Thank you for using Prosper.

For future reference, your Prosper support case number is 00451221.

Sincerely,

How much time should Prosper need, for Pete's sake?  A week wasn't long enough?   >:(

is there a public record of missed proof of claims?

If you know the case, you might be able to look it up on PACER and see the Proof of Claim filing and the decision on it. Without the case though, I don't think it's possible.

So, they contacted you but they haven't contacted me yet, even though I sent my email an hour before yours?

I haven't gotten anything either. Seems like it would take all of 5 minutes to mass send that useless email to everyone who asked about the BK issue. That email should have gone out w/o 24 hours and by now they should real answers. I checked under "messages" on my account too since it's been mentioned that perhaps I opted out of getting emails.

But hey, all their problems and lack of CS were from YEARS ago, right?  ::)

Thanks for this.  I found a Ch. 13 and Ch. 7 that are worth looking into.  Sent Prosper the standard email.  We'll see what happens.

They must not have too many support cases since mine was only 4 numbers after Ira's.

Case numbers are usually assigned at the time you submit the query, not when you get a response.
Looking at this thread, I'm guessing you and Ira submitted your queries within an hour of each other, in the middle of the day on a weekday when most people are working.
Hardly surprising that you're only 4 numbers apart.

Give them a break--they're probably flooded with inquiries from org. lenders.  ;)
