We need a link to the loan listing so we can see if he wrote "God bless" in the description.

My guess the term used would be "Inshallah".

Not Allahu Akbar?  :D

Inshallah means "God willing" or "maybe it might happen or it might not depending on God".  So that would be perfect for this loan.

Right, but Allahu Akbar means "God be praised" - which seems more along the lines of "God bless" than "God willing"

So is it still possible to view past loan listings?

Loan Amount = $28,500
State = California
Employment status: Employed
Income = $53k
Employment: Health Inspector
Home Owner = No

Age 28 (First credit line?)

Quote from: Article
The $28,500 deposit, which was made on or about Nov. 18,

I might assume that Prosper has memory holed the original loan, so we might have to depend on people who duplicated loan information if they still exist.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/12/08/bank-records-show-28500-deposit-to-syed-farooks-account-two-weeks-before-shooting-source-says.html

Quote
The deposit came via Utah-based WebBank.com, which describes itself as “a leading provider of national consumer and commercial private-label and bank card financing programs” on a nationwide basis. On or about Nov.20, Fox News is told Farook converted $10,000 to cash, and withdrew the money at a Union Bank branch in San Bernardino.  Afterwards, in the days before the shooting, there were at least three transfers of $5,000 that appear to be to Farook’s mother.
So this set of terrorists, fraudulently obtain a loan, and gives $15k to his mother (I assume to take care of his baby).  How much do you want to bet that Prosper is just going to let them keep that $15k.

Who's the mods & why isn't a topic in the lobby by now? Or what's the reasoning?

Some guy named Farook is a mod. He hasn't logged in for a while. Maybe he is just enjoying the holiday season.

I meant to move the other topic. Let me know if there is any reason why I should move this topic back and move the other. I haven't read through all the posts.

He and his wife might have been hedging their bets.
* If they were killed, their baby would have the Prosper loan dollars.
* If they got caught, their mother would have money to help hire a lawyer... I think funding bail might be out of the question, but when you go that far off the deep end, who knows what is going through his mind.
* If they didn't get caught, but were identified or suspected, the mother might have been able to help funnel the money back to them, or secure other needs such as a plane ticket, alternate identity pictures, car, hotel or other arrangements to help get them out of the US.
* If they got off scott free, no harm, no foul.

I wonder what he told his mother was the reason for transferring that money into her account.

Maybe Prosper will finally be shut down, or at least be faced with rather tight regulation.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/dennis-santiago/using-internet-lending-to_b_8748356.html

Why?  There was no way that Prosper could have known what this guy would do, unless his loan write-up was entitled "Need to borrow $28K to fund terror."

Loaning, lying, murder, etc. all OK...

Yes, that's called the 'Obama Clause'.

Uh no, it means "Allah is greater." Greater than whom? Well your gods of course.

When I see a muslim, I like to say "Yahweh Akbar!"

As I think about this situation more...

There is some evidence to suggest that this was a false flag. The "police terrorist training"  occurring at the same time as the incident just a block away, for instance.

Assume for a moment, this was a false flag...that is to say that the govt either knew this was going to happen and did nothing to prevent it or aided the terrorists by providing logistical/financial/etc. support. Now also assume the banksters run the country.

The handlers tell the terrorists to get a P2P loan from prosper and that they would make sure it funded. Then the muslims can use the money to buy weapons. Why P2P and not a credit card or just saving money? The articles say the husband had a $56K job and the wife worked too I believe. Is it really that hard to save enough for a couple guns without getting a loan? Cut back on the bacon or kiddieporn subscriptions for a year?

Now what a great incident to push all the govt and bankster agendas:
1) More gun control
2) Bad publicity for P2P lending..possible lawsuits from victims that would bankrupt P2P lenders that are increasingly taking a piece of the banksters lending pie.
3) More financial regulations since the patriot act hasn't gone far enough, lol. (See the Huffington Post article which says just that)
4) Restricting/Outlawing cash withdrawals/transactions since the terrorists withdrew $5000 cash from the account

It is a little suspicious that all of a sudden the press knows all this info about a prosper loan and how it is going viral. Did they not have credit cards? No one made a fuss about any other terrorists and their banking/credit cards/etc. Just this prosper incident. And how did the press find out that they had a prosper loan? Usually this info is kept under lock and key, especially in the investigative phase.

Good thing our govt can be trusted.

Lots of religions seem to have this sort of thing, particularly in the Abrahamic faiths. The one that pops to mind is the classic Mormon "Lying for the Lord" which allowed one to commit some pretty heinous crimes against other settlers when needed. But pretty much all of the faiths seem to have this. I bet it would also extend to political groups as well....

I think it stems once again from that "it's ok if we do it, bad if you do it" mental error in thinking. We excuse people who are like us because we know there just has to be "reasons" (say our little Terrorist shooting up an abortion clinic). But when it's someone not like us, it's because they are "evil" (brown Terrorist).
