Unfortunately, prospersucks.com, .net and .org are all taken... and all by someone unrelated to Prosper.  (Can I still use that word?)

Those URLs re-direct to pierreprosper.com, and feature the website of a PR firm, so I suspect that supporters of Pierre -- an up-and-coming Republican politician -- decided to register them before his critics did.  Perhaps, if someone told Pierre about Witchel's and Larsen's involvement in Democratic politics, he'd let someone borrow the domain.   :ninja:

The letter to ProsperReports.com show PROSPER® (If this doesn't render correctly, that is the letter R inside a circle.)

(R) is used for both service and trade marks and means that it is registered.

I doubt that his comment was made as a serious suggestion.  My guess is that Levy cited the case law that upheld the rights of a company's critics to own whateversucks.com domains, and Gale replied "Well, why don't you use prospersucks, then?"

I'm not so quick to underestimate an opponent, although this may very well be the way it transpired.

I really wonder if Gale came out with this in an attempt to determine what the sentiment is towards Prosper. If this was the case, then he got an earful and has to be convinced most of us still want to see Prosper succeed; that no actions are malicious. Hopefully he realized then it is a dead end, and reported back to Prosper that they are really barking up the wrong tree.

My take on this is that Prosper wants to marginalize us as a bunch of malcontents and complainers; being able to point to "prospersucks.com" as the website makes it easier for Prosper to do that.  But who knows what Prosper is thinking (I doubt anyone there does either).

I've never contributed to any of Ralph Nader's organizations, but I will send something to Public Citizen.  I'm sure 112233 and www.ProsperReport.com will keep us updated on what PMI's attack dogs attempt next. (attack mice?)

Thanks.
