Prosper inquries on TransUnion?
« on: January 10, 2008, 02:46:15 pm »

Another IRC chat log...
Quote
<aNONamous> look over it and see when the inquiries were posted to it.
<FeistyTiger30> well I got one last week
<FeistyTiger30> from TransUnion
<threnody> for instance, when you listed, one inquiry should be from Prosper shouldn't it?
<FeistyTiger30> saying the XXX account was removed of my report
<zcommodore> Prosper only pulls from Experian so anything on TransUnion may or may not be reported to Experian
<FeistyTiger30> well Prosper reports to all the CB now
<aNONamous> I think (not positive) that prosper is a soft pull until you get the loan right?
<zcommodore> Experian is the most difficult in getting things corrected I've heard
<zcommodore> right aNONamous
<aNONamous> where did you hear that Prosper reports to all FT.. Is this true??
<FeistyTiger30> you should see my credit score with TransUnion and Equifax
<FeistyTiger30> it is high
<FeistyTiger30> but with Experian it is low
<zcommodore> I thought Prosper only reported to Experian and TransUnion, but not Equifax
<aNONamous> lol... I thought is was only Experian.
<FeistyTiger30> Prosper announce it
<zcommodore> Prosper started reporting to TransUnion a few months ago
<FeistyTiger30> on the board one day
<zcommodore> I missed it I guess
<zcommodore> do you have a link?
<FeistyTiger30> it was on the old forum that they had
<zcommodore> oh, then it must have been that they were reporting to TransUnion
<zcommodore> I don't think they report to Equifax yet
<FeistyTiger30> well I am looking at Transunion and Prosper is on there
<zcommodore> why would Prosper be on your transunion report if you don't have a loan yet?
<FeistyTiger30> as inquriy
<zcommodore> that's interesting
<zcommodore> it must be a "soft pull" then
<zcommodore> I wonder if they're thinking of adding a second credit source and testing now?
...snip unrelated IRC chatter...
Quote
<FeistyTiger30> when I post a new listing it shows up on my CB
<zcommodore> I was referring to threnody's statement
<FeistyTiger30> I mean
<FeistyTiger30> Credit Report
<FeistyTiger30> it shows me each date
<FeistyTiger30> on my transunion
<zcommodore> on TransUnion? wow
<zcommodore> Prosper must be checking credit reports there but only reporting Experian numbers to lenders
<FeistyTiger30> but Prosper says it doesn't bring down your grade
<zcommodore> right
<FeistyTiger30> because they are pulling it on your behalf
*emphasis added

So, are any other borrowers seeing Prosper inquiries on their credit reports?  Is Prosper testing prior to adding this information to listings for lenders?

FWIW, you can find FeistyTiger30's listing here.

Prosper is showing as a soft pull on all my CB reports.

ETA:  Just checked Transunion... Prosper is showing 1 soft pull and only 1 payment, Oct 2007, though the "outstanding balance" reflects all my payments through December.  I'm thinking prosper reports 2 to 3 months in arrears.  Annoying.  :(

In other news, I just discovered I have an unpaid parking ticket.  Awesome.  I've only ever gotten ONE parking ticket, and I paid it immediately (parked on the street during a street sweeping day!).  DAMMIT!

ETA2:  Sorry for the confusion, I must have mis-read... Prosper isn't showing anywhere else besides my loan and payment history.  No promo/soft pulls or anything.  As for posting payment history so late, my car payment is only showing through October, too.  Maybe that's standard.
