Here's 12 months: http://www.ericscc.com/graphs/showLoanAgingGraph.php?age=12

So from when Prosper opened and we first joined Feb 06 to the first PD in Feb 07.  Avg default looks to be about 20%.

Ouch.

There does seem to be a reduction in lates starting with loans funded in March 2007.  But the impact only seems to be a couple percentage points.  From other charts, I was postulating about a 5 percentage point drop, but I don't think we'll see it.

Isn't that when Prosper eliminated the NC's and bottom of the HR's?  If so, it is surely no surprise that lates were reduced since the borrowers most likely to be late were gone.

Prosper also provided more credit data in March, so there were good reasons for a change in default rates starting then.  I'm just surprised that the change wasn't larger.  The LendingStats delinquency chart (which isn't controlled for age of loan) seemed to suggest the possibility of a new plateau as much as 10 points below the original one:

If you change the "age=x" parameter you can view the chart for however many months of aging you wish.  Any feedback you guys can give me on what info I might add ...

Played with it for a few minutes, and here's what I noticed.  If I use a small age=, like 3 or 6, the curve tilts down on the right, ie looks like its getting better with time, but if I use a larger number, like 9 or 12, it is flat or tilts the other way, ie looks like its getting worse with time.

Not sure what to make of that.

Are you taking into account the fact the more recent months disappear from the chart as you increase the age?  By the time you increase the number to 12, the months after February 2007 don't appear at all.
