We only know the details on two Prosper-related court cases.  One (Victoria C.) was detected by a forums participant; one (Kilen) was detected by Key Bank.  Perhaps Prosper caught some of the others that Larsen mentioned (without details) at PD, but right now, for confirmed court cases, Prosper is 0 for 2.

Precisely.  The prosper puff piece on the blog is a misdirection.  History shows that prosper does NOT detect identity fraud.

Hey, the caught BigGulp's brother!   :ninja:
Shhhhhh

He may want to relist...

History shows that prosper does NOT detect identity fraud.

Not only do that they not detect it, they also strenously avoid being notified of it.  It wasn't until there was a major uprising in the old .com forums that they did anything about the Lep NYC identify theft situation, even though he had been reporting it to them for months, including giving them the phone number of the NYC detective handling the case.

That incident was what led me to initially stop bidding.

At least two different loans had originated after a number of us used the official reporting mechanisms to point to the specific message in their official forums where the borrowers admitted to loan fraud.
