I need help...honest to god help!  I am 28yrs old, married a financial disaster of a man, now I'm a single mommy of 4! My car is gonna be repossesed if I don't pay by the 25th so I need to trade it down...but I may be a bit upside down and my credit is bad so I'm afraid I won't qualify without some money down. On my credit report my debt without the car loan is only about $2K.  I need to find a way to get a loan similar to prosper (they don't offer loans in my state) ASAP.

If there is any other site that doesn't have limitations on credit score or states. Or if there's some wonderful people that will trust me I would appreciate it, I'm sure there's some sort of 3rd party that would do the deal for us so neither would get burnt.

Why look for this trust from strangers on the Internet instead of your own circle of people you know?

Along the lines of what Greebo said, it looks like you really need the money.  But your ability to pay it back may be at best, iffy.

Unfortunately, there really isn't a way for you to get a loan on a p2p lending site. I'm sorry.

I know, I know, but I just can't think of anywhere else to send them and it's obvious they don't belong here. My fingers still feel a little dirty from typing out the URL.

She should probably be talking to her local social services agencies for help on this.  Borrowing money doesn't seem like the way out for her.

That thought crossed my mind too, but it is open to the public.

4boysmommie - Whatever you do, don't turn to payday loans.  You WILL get screwed & dig your self in deeper.  Try contacting your creditor to see if you can make some arrangements.

Now that we look at this, her payment is due on the 25th.  Today is the 4th.  That is plenty of lead time to come up with a decent action plan.

How much is your monthly payment?  How many months are you behind?  What is the total loan value unpaid?  How much is your income?  How often do you get paid?

Let them reposeess the car.  You obviously can't afford to keep it, and living beyond your means is just as bad as whatever your husband did to (ahem) your credit.

Carpool, or use public transportation.  Try to put aside $100 a month, and buy a used '93 Corolla for $1400 or so.

If you can't put aside $100 a month, then you certainly shouldn't be taking out a loan.

Follow this plan, and you will begin to dig yourself out of the hole, and you will set a good example for your children.
