At the bottom of one of the p2ptechforsale.com pages it says, "We are not lawyers by trade, but we do have an intimate understanding of the prevailing regulatory implications of P2P lending in both the USA and Canada..."

The CEO and founder of Loanio is a lawyer.  He has a Law Degree from Brooklyn Law School.

Loanio missed their first planned launch last fall and again in the spring.  They are supposed to present at FinovateStartup tomorrow.  I was going to attend but won't be able to make it.

I just sent an email to Michael Solomon from Loanio - I'll let you know if I hear back.

Ive seem him around for quite a while on various sites looking to "clone" prosper.com. maybe he finally found someone who accepted his rates which were rather low.

I googled the person who was emailing me and found her linked-in profile... it hadn't been updated in about a year.  It did not say IOUCentral...  It was very clearly Canadian.

I believe that they had not launched yet.

probably. Ivorex I guess is just an old ripoff of that site.

IOU Central was originally a P2P lending startup from Denmark called Fairrates.  Fairrates was built in 10 months by Arkadiusz Hajduk and opened in April 2007.
