This loan (as with the 15.5% D also posted in this sequence) was filled by Portfolio Plan bids.
Portfolio plans bid loans with 47% DTI?? pretty risky.....
In the past few weeks I've been outbid on 4 or 5 "D" loans all bid down to 15.5%. Seems too low for a D. Portfolio plan bids??
Yes, and it may get worse before it gets better. The new changes to the preconfigured PP slices did, as j9359 mentioned, tighten up the DTI requirement of this slice from 70% to 40%, but they also dropped the rate to 14.3%. So far there's not enough money committed to that new slice to fund the larger loans at that rate (conforming loans above $7K or so are still closing at 15.5%), but the small ones are getting to 14.3%, and I think eventually they all will.
