IMO, as they sit there and look even more desperate, those 8 who have already made offers won't think twice before lowering the next offer - especially since supposedly it's been almost a month since they made those offers. I honestly can't see why DoFu thinks that he's going to get better offers while the loans fester since as you stated, the credit crunch is getting worse, not better.

I don't know -- I think that might cut both ways. If Prosper accepts a low-ball offer this time, the JDB's sure won't bid any more next time. Without knowing just how much the bids were for, it is hard to say whether Prosper is being stupid or not. If the bids were a bit lower than December's sale, then of course Prosper should have accepted. If the bids are little more than nothing, then I am not so sure. If nothing else, perhaps Prosper should rummage through the Late-4's in search of another 50-100 worth suing on.
