I have a dream...
« on: May 12, 2008, 06:36:25 pm »

Where have I heard that quote before?  Oh yes, Prosper's latest blog post: http://blog.prosper.com

Quote
Financial Freedom: How Prosper Can Help You Live the Dream

05/12/08 posted by Roger Steciak

Achieving financial freedom means having enough investment income so that you don’t have to work for a living. When your investment income exceeds your living expenses (including taxes), you no longer need a job to pay your bills. Of course, you don’t have to quit your job once you achieve financial freedom, but you have instead the choice of whether or not you continue to work.

I also doubt that his book sales will somehow propel him into early retirement.  Actually, by the looks of it, it may already be too late for an "early" retirement.

Too mean?  :)

This is to be expected from Prosper.

First, a blog editor who owes $300K in loans, and then contributors who really shouldn't be talking about their crazed investments.

Par for the course.

And the employee who took out a loan for his educational "stipend". I'm still just jaw-to-the-ground on that one.
