For all we know, they were really aiming to kill the comment posts.  Including the 'hidden' comments that only the original poster was able to see.

We all know what type of comments prosper killed of our own.  It might be interesting to know what information on these securities that the rest of the prosper was trying to get out.

You can hide the comments without hiding the entire blog post. It's being done now.
