I like that Gandhi quote in your signature about the power of having a positive philosophy.
I also like how it's nice and symmetrical looking, which must be why you liked it, too, huh?

Still, functionally, no money was no money and no updates were no updates, and yeah, that sucked.
It's no wonder we don't trust Prosper to keep its promises.

Disclaimer: I was not on any DF's test loans.

Glad you agree.

DF promised in writing that those who opted in would get monthly statements, but he produced no statements of any kind ever.  None.  Nada.  Zip.  Its not like he just forgot.  I've asked him about it a couple of times.  No answer.

Prosper voluntarily dismissed most of the 66 lawsuits.  They just backed out.  Doug promised to go back and file these suits again, but he hasn't done it.  Nothing.  Zip.  Nada. ...

I'm guessing he was happy with that one win! Why bother to pursue other cases?

Any comment on the blender situation, NA?  Or allowing borrowers to have multiple loans outstanding at once, despite lender objections?  The surreptitious change in the TOS?  Failure to repurchase the fraudulent Oakland Gaerke loan, and LYING to the bankruptcy court about what Prosper is?

Or are all those too long ago for you to remember, too?

Wow - this thread is poised to hit 80,000 views within the next few days.

As a side note to Xraider, I have looked at every single loan that has originated thus far in the month of May 2010 - and the percentage of those newly funded borrowers who already have/had active Prosper loans is significant.

I was reading in another thread that our old friend, RateLadder, was trying to sell off some of his Prosper-related virtual real estate.

Made me want to go look:

ETA: some other updates:

AMF couldn't eve eeke out a positive return investing in A- loans at an interest rate in excess of 13.5%.  :-\

I wonder if PrivateLender finally fired his virtual bankers?
