It's not perfect, but at least he's communicating with us (albeit indirectly) - and saying some of the right things.  I don't know if he can back up the tough talk with action (or if he will last more than 3 months), but I hope some prospective borrowers read the Q&A.

He definitely needs to make sure he advertises some of his initiatives and wins.

The Q&A's are going through the marketing dept. I take them with a grain of salt. If this guy is so tough why doesnt he come to the forums and answer hard questions by himself in (almost) real time. I dont buy this BS that he so busy that he cant answer a few questions himself directly. To me, it's a big game orchestrated by the likes of Shira.

Also, I wouldnt be surprised to find out that this guy doesnt even work at prosper on-site and that he just a consultant working out of his own home or office.

As long as he walks the walk, it doesn't matter where he works from.

His performance will speak volumes...

An interesting hypothesis.  How would we test this?

I'm waiting for some evidence that things have changed.

My 30+ is still 30+, and I haven't seen any information elsewhere that suggests that collections or fraud prevention is improved.

Call the main number and ask to be connected to him. See what they say.

Lep, is there a main number that answers now?

I'll have to try it.

And see what he's doing about my late.

I don't mean the help line. I mean the main corporate number of PMI: (415) 362-7272.

Thanks.  Gives me something to do next time I'm bored at work!

Welcome back to the fora, btw.

Will be  piss-poor switchboard that can't call to a 3rd-party number. In the days when I pulled a salary we had a corporate switchboard that would seamlessly connect you even if you were overseas. All you had to do was tell the computer what number to call you on. Customers called your "office" number and it connected to any other number one specified.

I work from two offices.  Often, I'll just have both office lines forward to my cell phone.

I think we need something more solid than a phone-check.  Is anyone going down there soon?

zoominfo.com also shows Doug Fuller listed as "principal" of www.crucialsolutions.com on a web page that no longer exists, but which zoominfo has cached.  Zoominfo says "published 11/9/2002, Last Visited 10/20/2003".  This would seem to cover the 2002/3 gap in the resume published on the Priorityperspectives.com web site.

No new information in the quote below, other than the dates and the association with criticalsolution.com.  Copied here for reference.

Doug Fuller, Ph.D. - Principal

Dr. Fuller has spent more than 20 years working in various aspects of the use of information to improve business decisions. He has pursued this interest in corporate, consulting and academic settings.

As an academic, Fuller received his doctorate from the University of Virginia where he also served as an instructor. His dissertation, An Exploration of Population Classification for Managed Healthcare within a State-based Modeling Framework, was awarded the Rader Prize from the University, has resulted in a number of journal articles and is the basis of a recently published patent application. He has also served as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Process Operations Management.

In a consulting environment, Fuller has worked with clients in healthcare, financial services, software development and transportation. Working with Capital One, Fuller developed and implemented a dynamic credit limit adjustment model for use in Cap One's transaction authorization system. A post implementation audit documented first year revenues generated by this system of over $8 million.

Fuller most recently served as a Senior Vice President with the First Select Corporation and Providian Financial. On the Providian side, Fuller headed Fraud Management, an organization of 350 responsible for the prevention, detection and recovery of fraudulent transactions. During his tenure, Fuller initiated a number of new screening methods to prevent the issuance of credit cards on fraudulent applications.
...
In a joint development effort with Ontario Systems, Fuller spearheaded the design and implementation of a recovery management system which incorporated automated workflow, event driven prioritization and valuation and embedded decision models for call sequencing and legal action escalation.

In addition to strong quantitative skills, Fuller possesses a unique mix of talents comprising operations, strategy and systems that provide insights and solutions for using information to improve business results.

As often happens, Doug and his professor published a paper at a conference with a very similar title to his PhD dissertation at about the time he finished grad school.  (Its the professor's last chance to get another paper out of a grad student.)

http://gtalumni.org/news/ttopics/spr00/burdell.html
which would appear to be some sort of alumni newsletter, says...

Doug Fuller, IE '82, earned his doctorate in systems engineering in August 1999 from the University of Virginia. After the thesis defense, Fuller accepted a position as director of business development for the First Select Corporation in Pleasanton, Va.

This clip lists a different title for his employment at First Select than the various resumes.  This says "director of business development", and the resumes say "Sr Vice President".  Could be starting and ending titles.

An almost-but-not-quite-identical quote appears in

Another paper.  Here he's listed as a "client advisor" for a student paper on "AUTOMATED CALL CENTER ANALYSIS AND MONITORING" at U.Virginia.
http://www.sys.virginia.edu/students/capstone/past/cap2001/2001-01.doc

Paper is from a 2001 conference, and Doug's name is followed by "Market Management Group, First Select Corporation, Pleasanton, CA"
