You appear to be completely correct.  I can make my May payment for the usual amount ($72, rounded up) or I can make a payment of two months for $144 or three months ahead.  I can add extra principal.  But I can't just make a payment for, say $10 or $100. 

That sucks.

this sucks because one of my loans the "late" made half a payment for the latest payment due.  now if there is a problem with making payments, I'm worried I won't get the other half of my money in the next week or two.  so I'm hoping this glitch won't cause them to become perennially late.

Several of my borrowers have made partial payments in the past -- so now if they can't make the full payment, their only option will be to make NO payments (at least until the loan goes into collections)?  Another brilliant Prosper move.   

this is the first time I've dealt with a partial - and what are the odds of it coming now, when Prosper is even more of a clusterf*ck than ever, and them botching it up to the point where we lenders don't get paid at all!!!  arrrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!

Top six sleazoid changes to Prosper in the last 3 days:

1. Borrowers can't pay down their loans
2. Lenders in California cannot withdraw their funds unless they reach $25
3. CPS is selling loans of people with credit scores 140 points below Prosper's "minimum"
4. Forums gone, replaced with "accolades only" section
5. "Marketplace data" section will be horribly corrupted by the used car loans
6. Sticking middle finger up in the face of SEC, as if they were a Tiananmen Square tank, or something

How freakin' stupid are they?

Lobby or no lobby, I am now actively rooting for their inevitable (and fast-approaching) collapse.  And looking forward to any *criminal* investigations that may follow.

I happened to be considering tossing some dough on my loan since I've now shortened the length down by about 6 months from all the extra payments.

I guess now I'll just wait until the end of the month to do my extra payment.  This sucks.

I know I guy in Brooklyn who if I do what he says and I sign his release forms, he'll give me the $1,000.   Well maybe not as much now since there's all those "tube" sites out there.
