OMG, this whole blog post is boils down to the fact that they won a case simply due to the fact that the defendant did not show up to court and Prosper didn't have to prove anything except that they had a piece of paper with the right number on it.

Edit: And that the defendant doesn't have any money to go after anyways.

I submitted the following comment.  We'll see if it gets approved.

We are supposed to be excited that Prosper won a case simply because the defendant didn't show up and that the defendant doesn't have any money to pay anyways?

I think this must be an example of what Doctor Fuller promised.  Didn't he say he knows all about winning collection cases in court?  That he never or rarely loses?  And that he had handpicked these cases, so that they could be won with almost no work involved?  This case must be the proof!

Classic comment from Urbi to a poster who said they were leaving:

"Once again, we note that your threats are hollow and you come across like a sad, lonely blowhard.

I doubt anyone here gives a shit about you.  We pretty much all know that you are a vile and unethical parasite of a human being with an abnormal craving for attention."

Hmm, who besides ORG and prosperreport.com would have enough "web posts" to fill 300 pages?

No one.   And there is the rub.  Nothing is to stop anyone else from using the posts on either site to support their defense that they didn't take out a loan, or the loan wasn't a loan or whatever other defense they can think up.    Perhaps that is what happened here.

IANAL, but it sounds like they wanted to slow down the case by filing an extra 300 pages of something, anything, that someone has to waste their time reading.

Prosper's victory dance is self-serving to say the least.  They have resolutely kept lenders in the dark re the status of these cases as many were dismissed, etc.

Has anyone figured out WHICH case they just won?  I looked thru the cases I've found online.

Only found one with a really interesting status.  I won't try to copy all the info here, but the register of actions has 96 actions in it.  In other words, lots of stuff filed back and forth.  This woman is fighting back!

If you want to try to figure it out, go to http://www.occourts.org/ and type in the case number.
