Since your most recent update, there does not appear to be a link to the forums, and no announcement was made about them.  Where are they, or why were they closed?

Thank you for your e-mail regarding a link to the Forum.  The forums were removed on December 17th.  We found they were not being utilized that much and that the information was being presented elsewhere on our site (via the Prosper Blog).

Put its only link in the corner of a little-used page and whaddya expect?  Duh.

I think they took it down as a cost-cutting measure - didn't want to pay for a mod.

maybe they could consult ferrix or the other mods on how to reduce day-to-day moderation.

It'd be easier/cheaper still if they had just left the link there but pointed it to prospers.org instead of connect.prosper.com.

Somebody probably mentioned this in a newer thread somewhere that I haven't seen yet, but this link is gone now.

On the plus side, the disappearance of the (second) official Prosper forum puts ORG at the top of any search for "prosper forum".

hmmmm... looks like they may have canned the forums altogether.

I was expecting wailing, gnashing of teeth, and apoplectic tirades over the 2nd poofing of the forums.

They had emasculated those forums a long time ago, and there was plenty said about that here at the time.

At some point you have to stop banging your head against the table. Prosper has shown over and over again that even though they had FREE access to some of the brightest minds in many different areas of expertise, they were going to crap on them.

Nobody here has used them in at least 2 years, so who really cares anymore?
