Why would anyone lend in the dark?

Marketplace data temporarily unavailable

If prosper want's people to loan, they need to know what the risks are.  1% just isn't going to make up for that lack of information.  The potential losses are far greater.

Not if you limit your bids to listings that have no chance of funding.  Or you could snipe in when a listing has 1 minute left and bid just less than the remaining amount.  The possibilities are endless.

I would totally snipe unlikely to fund loans if lending could be done in Texas. They'd better start adding some fine print fast or they're going to get in trouble.

Wouldn't that be a great big FU from Prosper if a bunch of people dumped funds into listings, thinking they'd never fund, then have RR or some other shill drop the remaining 70%, 85%, 90% to get the listing fully funded...

Perhaps it would make sense to merge this thread with the other thread on the same subject in General?

Someone should tell zigchronic about this.  He made over 21,000 bids on Prosper but only made 36 loans.

I might be interested in this, except that I would have to sign the new lender agreements.

There are so many things that come to my mind in response to this.

Sadly the most appropriate seems to be "Fuck you, you fucking fuckers"
PS. And the horse you rode in on too.
