That's more like it, I'm satisfied to be within 0.5% of the actual. I'm talking about a 0.5% nominal difference of course, which is how things should be compared in this case.

Aberdeen has just cracked the top ten by net gain list

http://www.lendstats.com/lenderlists/lenderlists.php?crit=netgain&order=DESC&age1=0&age2=&loans1=0&loans2=&lent1=0&lent2=&rem1=0

He went from top ten loser to top ten gainer and it took a little over a year to do that ... amazing.

It also looks like he's going to break the 2 million lent barrier fairly soon.

He was really a top ten loser a year ago?  :o  Now that's a comeback!

Interesting to see Fred a few above him, Chris Larsen ahead of Fred at #4 overall, and reflective-rupee way, way ahead of everybody.  A lot of familiar screen names on that first page.

Funny.  With enough invested, I suppose anyone could make that list, including Aberdeen with his/her 0.8% ROI.

Net gain is a weird way to measure success.  You can make a small fortune on Prosper...if you start with a large fortune.

He definitely was on the top ten loser list. I remember seeing him at one point almost $50k down. I think he may have been up to (or down to)#8.

Yeah, 0.8% return is nothing to brag about, but the comeback is. I predict Aberdeen will be #2 on the list a month from now.

Net gain is a good way to measure success but it is flawed. It obviously favors older larger portfolios. The other good measure of success, ROI, tends to favor younger smaller portfolios. So you gotta pick your poison, that's why I offer both.

Here's a good way to measure success in Aberdeen's peer group. :D

http://www.lendstats.com/lenderlists/lenderlists.php?crit=PRROI&order=DESC&type=lender&age1=2&age2=&loans1=500&loans2=&lent1=0&lent2=&rem1=0&rem2=&pr2=&pr1=&cg2=&cg1=&roi1=&roi2=&pronly=1

It is ROI on post relaunch loans only with minimum loan age of 2 months and minimum # of loans=500.
Aberdeen is 18 on the list of 236 lenders. Look who's # 1 (if you read this tomorrow maybe it will be #2).    ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

edit: I'm down to #3 now :(

I am OK with lobby too.

As of today, he has a net gain of 16.5K and an ROI of 1.2%.

Well (s)he's been #2 for a while already, I think 2 weeks already and now there is getting to be some significant seperation between 2 and 3.

Hey GF, still wanna bet if Aberdeen will end up positive? lol
most of the post sec loans are still pretty young so they still have time to head south....

Only 60k away from 2 million, but bidding has slowed considerably so the 2 million mark might not be crossed soon.

BTW, if you just look at prosper 1.0 loans Aberdeen is still holding on to the #10 slot for biggest $ losers.

Hey cool, if you reverse the order on that list, I crack the top 100 - woohoo!

(Actually, that's kind of a sad statement of Prosper 1.0, considering I wasn't exactly big money or anything.)

Yeah, the 1.0 years were pretty bad. I thought my performance was pretty crappy during 1.0 but I did manage to make a barely positive return and I'm #214 out of 50K lenders. Wow

Those tables at lendstats are interesting. I did a search for lenders that invested more than $10,000 with at least 20 loans and that are completely out of prosper {loan age 36 months}, and it was refreshing to see that I was top ten in ROI.

I thank my luck and my restraint.

Lots of names I recognize on that list too
