It came in an email.  The email also has a chart of returns since July, 2009, and states that not one lender who has at least 100 notes has an ROI of less than 3% on loans made after July, 2009.

I can't figure out how to add the chart, but here is the text:

Dear xxxxxx,

Happy New Year!

Here at Prosper we are gearing up for an exciting 2011, and we appreciate your continued commitment to the Prosper platform. As our way of saying Thank You, we've put together an all-new Lender Promotion that gives you a chance to earn up to 4% cash back on your investments through February:
Invest between $30,000 and $50,000 and receive a 1.5% cash rebate on the whole investment amount*. For example, an investment of $30,000 during the promotional period would result in a $450 cash rebate.
Invest between $50,000 and $100,000 and receive a 2.0% cash rebate on the whole investment amount*. For example, an investment of $50,000 during the promotional period would result in a $1,000 cash rebate.
All investments* beyond $100,000 will qualify for a 4% cash rebate, in addition to 2% on the first $100,000. For example, a qualifying investment of $150,000 during the promotional period would result in a $4,000 rebate.
Investments* of $250,000 or more will be awarded warrants equal to 1 common share per $10 invested. You must meet the definition of an "Accredited Investor" under SEC rules to be eligible to receive warrants. The purchase price on warrants will equal the fair market value of a common share of Prosper Marketplace, Inc. at the time of the grant.
With a promotion like this, now is the time to take advantage of the great returns that lenders are already enjoying on Prosper! To give you an idea of how well things are going, we've also taken a closer look at our lenders with portfolios of at least 100, properly-aged, SEC-registered Notes:
The results were pretty striking! In fact, no lender with at least 100 Notes has earned a return lower than 3% - just more evidence that diversification is the key to a sound investment strategy.

Thank you again for being a valued member of our community, and we hope you're also looking forward to a terrific New Year.

Regards,
Prosper

Notes offered by Prospectus.

* The promotional period for this offer will start on January 10, 2011 at 12:01AM, and finish on February 28, 2011 at 11:59PM, and all rebates will be paid by March 31, 2011. Only bids placed during the promotional period that become funded Notes before the payout date will be considered “invested”. Invested funds can only qualify for one promotion; in the event that a given investment qualifies for two different promotions, the lender will be paid the higher of the two.

** Net Annualized Returns represent the actual returns on Borrower Payment Dependent Notes (“Notes”) issued and sold by Prosper since July 15, 2009. To be included in the calculation of Net Annualized Returns, Notes must be associated with a borrower loan originated more than 10 months ago; this calculation uses loans originated through February 28, 2010. To calculate Net Annualized Returns, all payments received on borrower loans corresponding to eligible Notes, net of principal repayment, credit losses and servicing costs for such loans, are aggregated then divided by the average daily amount of aggregate outstanding principal for such loans. To annualize this cumulative return, the cumulative number is divided by the dollar-weighted average age of the loans in days and then multiplied by 365. Net Annualized Returns are not necessarily indicative of the future performance of any Notes. All calculations made as of December 31, 2010.

What's the "fair market value" of Prosper common stock?

Wonder if their shenanigans are so bad that one could pierce the corporate veil and attach individual shareholders and thus cause the value to be actually negative.

This has a minimum by-in of $30K?  :o

Compare to the promotion at the end of 2009 when it was 1% back for investing $1,000 to $4,999 and 2% for $5,000 or more.
