Have your losses been increasing?
« on: July 05, 2016, 10:10:33 pm »

Mine have. It hasn't gotten to the point where I'm losing money, but charge offs have increased and I'm starting to get worried.

My in grace period loans have been increasing. Usually I sell my grace period loans within a week.

I've got one D-class loan in grace period currently.  That's up from zero, so I guess it's increasing... though it reminds me of this:

What discounts do you tend to sell them at?

I start out at 10%. Then I drop by $1 a day until sold.

What discount does it tend to sell at? Has it been less recently than previously?

Percentage wise I am not sure. They usually get picked up in the $10 - $5 range.

The Wall Street Journal reports that loan losses have been going up, particularly among higher-credit-risk borrowers.

2008 all over again. The banksters didn't learn, they leveraged up. Fasten your seat belts.

If you look at Lending Club's stats, loans originated in both the 4th quarter of 2015 and the first quarter of 2016 have significantly lower returns than the average. Since there has been relatively little time for defaults to develop and interest rates have gone up slightly, one would expect newer loans to have higher returns than average.

Dot org was once a great place for discussion, conversion, and stock tips.  Now it's a wasteland of IRA01 calling people morans, cunts, and more while members stand around watching it happen and they don't give a shit.  Congrats white toast observers.  I have better ways of spending my time.  My Parthian shot, Nice Tie!

If you post it in every thread, it must be true!
