What is your experience in P2P lending?I am active on a car forum
www.3SI.org a person there put up a listing asking if anyone there would be willing to go go P.com and bid on his loan to put a turbo in his car... Funny thing was, he was frauding and it wasn't even his car that he put in the ad... But I came to P.com and started getting excited about the idea...
Why did you end up at Prospers.org?I lurked on the .com site for a month or so.. then decided that I could not really learn how this works without jumping in so I started an auto transfer of Prosper .02 ($100) and started loaning. While reading the .com forums, I saw several references to here, but the people that were advertising here seemed a bit bitter so I wasn't interested.. then the .com forum went down, I came here and was happily surprised to find that while some people are quite grumpy, there is a vast amount of knowledge here that needs to be heard and learned from if the P.com experience is going to survive..

What do you do?I am a computer programmer. I write mostly in RPGILE, I write tax software for local counties in NC, SC and GA. I dabble a tiny bit in Java, HTML, and VB.. not in that order
Favorite Link on .ORG?Favorite is off topic I guess, but I lurk more in the finance and listings area..
Other Hobbies?I remodel and sell/rent old mill houses in the area. My wife and I currently own 4.. I do all the work myself, or hire a contractor to "teach" me how.. I won't get rich quick, but my daughter should inherit 20-30 rentals when she is old enough...
Other notes about me..I post a lot.. but almost entirely in the off-topic areas.. I am opinionated and long winded (duh) but I am new to the loan process and know that I can learn more there by listening and asking... so I do not post much in these areas...
In short, I can't help much on the loan process or financial part of this... But ask me about religion or politics or Football.... lol.... I got verbage for that..
