of course, here's their site
http://www.prosper.jp/

apparently, they are offering other forms of gambling to lenders like horse racing

May the best dog, erm, horse, win!

BTW, are you an entrant to the "geekiest avatar contest"? Looking at the formula there, I am wondering if I should have seen it while cramming for an exam in some obscure science. Care to enlighten?

I just evaluated 112233's avatar by hand. It's a good one! 112233 knows what the expression evaluates to, and now so do I!  :D
I see it now. Yes, I have to admit, it's a good one.

Friendly note for those of you not mathematically oriented.

That is a '*' and not a '-' in there.

Makes a world of difference.
No wonder I couldn't get it to work out. I knew it some some variation of 112233, but the math didn't work out right for me because I read the '*' as a '-'! Thanks to the eagle-eyed among us!

I was bored one night and decided to change my avatar. at precisely the same moment, a wave of geekdom flowed over me.

yeah, it was hard to cram that into a little avatar.. I tried to help by photoshopping the minus sign and making it longer and more distinquishable

They see me roll on my segway
I know in my heart they think I'm white 'n' nerdy
(guess I'm just too white 'n' nerdy
think I'm just too white 'n' nerdy
look at me I'm white 'n' nerdy)

My group of friends all memorized pi digits in high school, even though I don't think we were actually nerds. I don't know why we did it. I think someone started it and our natural competitiveness took over.

This is what I remember thirty years later:
