Debt Sale -- December 2007
« on: December 26, 2007, 08:39:03 am »

It looks like Prosper's going to get that last batch of defaults in before 2008.  I just got an email telling me one of my loans has been sold off.  I got 3.47% for the loan.  Clean D (though inquiries were a little high at 5) that paid on time for a year straight and then just stopped.

I got one this morning, too.  An E sold at approximately 3.5%.  I should have another 8 to go, probably later today.

I have three eligible, 2 Cs and an A. Maybe the Ds and Es are in a different batch than As, Bs and Cs.

If this debt sale works like the last one, the eligibility date will be approximately a month before the sale announcement.  In other words, the loan would have had to be 120 days past due in late November.

I'm not sure that all 5 of my 4+ month late loans meet this criterion, but I have 2 E, 2 HR, 1 C, and no emails thus far.

I've got something like 40 loans that are 4+ months late.

Got three emails so far, with timestamps of 6:34am, 6:51am, and 8:20am (PST).

I have six 4+mo lates... eagerly awaiting my pennies on the dollar, but no word yet.  Have you disclosed yet the loan that you made an offer on, Trav?

Not yet; I'm waiting for Prosper's official announcement that the loan has been sold.

If past practice is a guide, they'll trickle in over several days.
