Quarterly report?
« on: December 29, 2007, 10:20:21 pm »

The first mention of Doug Fuller's hiring was in the Prosper newsletter on September 20.

Quote
Prosper is pleased to introduce our new VP of Operations, Doug Fuller. Doug brings 25 years of experience to the Prosper team and will be instrumental in helping our team crack down on delinquencies and ramp up our collections efforts. We are excited to have Doug on board; he will help us to continually make Prosper a safer and more reliable marketplace for all users. Doug is a huge asset to the Prosper team and we look forward to updating you on his systemic improvements in Prosper operations.

Dohira's desire to issue quarterly updates was stated on October 8.

20. Will you please keep us informed about the changes Doug makes and the results that occur as a result?

I would like to update the Prosper community quarterly. To do that, I need to get back to work.

Anyone care to guess when the first quarterly report will appear?  Can there be a Do without the hira?

Traveler - note, he said "I would like to." He didn't say he actually would.

Also, back in October he had Shira to act in many subtle and varied ways upon the message he was delivering. She's not there now, so he might not be able to, for instance, type out the message himself. You put such high expectations on people.

Are you sure that by "quarterly," they didn't mean every 25 years?

Perhaps you have already received it.

New Agency Test
Reply
Prosper is testing a collection law firm and is recording this on member accounts as "New Agency Test".  This is a limited pilot to test the process of collecting more aggressively on Prosper Accounts.  Thus far, in approximately one month, we have seen an uptick in payments and promises to pay in almost 10% of the accounts and the law firm has had direct contact with more than 1/3 of the accounts in the test. These results are encouraging.  Actual suits will be initiated on the non-payers in early January.  We expect an additional  5% of the accounts to come to terms once they receive service of process.

If "post service" payments are strong, we will move to expand the legal pilot into additional states.  The long-term goal of this test is to create the reality and recognition of serious consequences of not re-paying Prosper loans.

 Sincerely,

didnt they have a lot of time on their hands during that period? the last few reports should have a lot of information for lenders? they can release them now that they are out of the quiet period.

I thought they had emerged from their "quiet period".

Or are you referring to a self-imposed quiet period that has nothing to do with the SEC?

Did Prosper actually SAY they were emerging from their self-imposed quiet period?

Prosper has strategically used the self imposed quiet period for the past two years.  I see no reason for them to stop now.
