I voted, but since Prosper had made my choice for me, I only had one choice I could pick.  I don't know if you should discount my vote or not.  If I wasn't banned, I'd probably have chosen "I mostly withdraw funds from Prosper but bid on occasional listings"

So what were you officially banned for again?  Did you ever get an answer?

I got the boilerplate "repeated violations of member page" or whatever.

Basically, they didn't like what I had written on my group's page, so they poofed what I wrote and suspended me.  Then they purged everyone else's profile pages that had prospers.org written in there.  They appear to have missed pro$pers.org, and when they then searched for that they banned epic, since they must have thought he added it after the great .org purge.

At least that's my theory.  No fear, I still have my wife's account if I ever wanted to lend again, though the chances of Prosper surviving that long are quite remote.

It was fun while it lasted.  In my mind, it's a race to see if I can get my money back out before the ship sinks.

"Once again, we note that your threats are hollow and you come across like a sad, lonely blowhard.

I doubt anyone here gives a shit about you.  We pretty much all know that you are a vile and unethical parasite of a human being with an abnormal craving for attention."

So far, only 4 out of 52 are transferring funds in?  Wow.  Perhaps the demographics here are slanted, but that's pretty amazing...

I'm still on the slow train out of Prosperville.  Today, I asked myself: can you at least try to get pumped up about it again?  Maybe let some funds accumulate, and bid?

Then I thought of much I used to like this place when we were all one big happy lending family, back in the far-off days of 2006.  And how different it is now.  And I recalled how I used to feel about the company back then, when it excited me, when I wanted it to grow, to be a part of whatever happened...  And then I think of how that company makes me feel now; shunned, chiseled, belittled...

Screw it.  I'm so turned-off by Prosper now, I think I need to start weaning myself from .org too, little by little.  It's over, at least for me.  I feel a little sad about that, but I'll manage just fine...

I couldn't have said it better.  I was reinvesting funds but am now withdrawing all funds.  I can't imagine being interested for three more years.

Frowny face.  I am much more interested in THIS community than Prosper any more.  But I still really want PMI to improve and for some more positive lenders to arrive.  Or maybe we'll all descend on Lendingclub or something.  Won't they love that.

Oh well, if everyone eventually goes away then this site will become a (de facto) archive I guess, a ghost town.  Nothing lasts forever I suppose.  Dammit now I'm depressed.

Hands up if you know what Steve Kinzler's Internet Oracle was.

Back in my day, it was the Usenet Oracle.

I stand corrected, it was indeed the Usenet Oracle.
