Anton throws a snickers at one of the first listings from Nevada - an HR borrower.  (But I'm not seeing why she's rated so low.)

The first Nevada borrower on Prosper?

BaldEagle should be overjoyed; this was his main complaint all along...

Of course, without GL rewards, it's probably not worth getting into it now...

He moved to.....Arkansas i think.

I just tried to make a new listing. It would only let me use one picture, and it didn't give me a chance to put in a caption.
Are they trying to save space on their servers?

I've noticed images have been moving from http://www.prosper.com/listing_images to http://images.prosper.com/listingimages for the last few days.

Gotta make sure they take one more piece of the "P2P" aspect away.

Bandwidth is dirt cheap these days. If they need to save $$$ by only allowing one picture then they are in serious financial shape.

I had created a Facebook account six months or so ago but just inactivated it as read/became concerned with the PII issues.

Speaking of Facebook and PII issues...

Nothing on the 1 picture bug posting to the Bugs forum.  Maybe tonight's update will fix it?  Or will they reduce the text to 1000 characters to further save on space?

I posted a followup suggesting that Prosper Andrew could get a Second Loan so Prosper could buy a 1.5 Terabyte hard drive to store all the pictures.

But you can't take out loans for under $400, can you?

Where can you get a 1.5Tb drive for less than $400?  The cheapest one I can find is $419 from Amazon.com.

mothandrust meant $419, of course.  But there's not a way in these forums to mouse over a rounded number and have a small pop-up show the exact amount.

Prosper breaks its silence on the "One Picture Bug"...

Quote
After receiving consistent feedback about borrowers having difficulty uploading multiple images, we have decided to go with 1 picture per listing.  Since the change, borrowers are experiencing less difficulty with uploads thus creating a smoother listing creation process.

There are 29 threads in the Bugs Forum, and none of them report any problems with uploading pictures or captioning.

There are two posts on the Borrower's Forum dated 1/2/08 and 1/3/08 where two users report problems with uploading a picture, but it is some kind of formatting problem where the users are unable to upload ANY pictures rather than being able to upload one easily and running into problems with more than one.  The OP on that thread obviously got it to work and put up 4 pictures.

This really bugs me:

Customers post about bugs and potential improvements to the system, and Prosper doesn't respond.

Then, Prosper makes a technical change that removes functionality or does something to downgrade the system THAT NO CUSTOMER WAS ASKING FOR.

When customers complain about the change, Prosper makes up some cockamamie reason why they did it.

Only at Prosper is the customer always wrong.
