What is your experience in P2P lending?
Not lending yet... going to gamble $1,000 in 2009 assuming P-----r is still around.
I took out my 1st and only loan (so far) with prosper in 2007.

No... I'm not the one that needed interrogation... my posting went up "as is".
It was another listing. I might make a $1,000 listing next year to try Prosper lending.

RPG's are easy to find here. I might start a new campaign using the new 4.0 version of D&D

0. I'm having a hard time finding successful long term (365+) lenders still in the game. After becoming less ignorant about Prosper the last couple of months... I'll entertain myself for $500 to $1000 of my own money next year. Perhaps $0 if Loanio debuts in the near future.

Cant imagine Loanio managing it worse than Prosper. Prosper has set a high bar for incompetence and loathing for Lenders.

I think Loanio has a better chance than Globefunder to start up but who knows. Gonna give this p2p lending a small $$ shot just to say "I did".

Forgot to mention that I'm paying my Prosper loan to $0 in 2 months.

All my & DW's debt becomes $0 by 1 Nov this year. Not too shabby considering she hasnt worked since last April due to pre & post pregnancy issues. Good news... Dr says she will be strong enough by Oct to go back. Not happy leaving our newborn to daycare but I dont demobilize until Dec.

*** 1 SEP 2008 update (Iraq Time) ***

No longer considering investing or "entertaining myself" on Prosper. It's just a mess. <edit> (Unless it's someone with an "established" history of trust here... family/friendss too) I dont see it operating one year from now, never mind 3yrs+ when my final payments are due. No entertainment if I cant follow along on a closed site. I have to thank Prospers.org forum members for shedding light on them. I also read the cheerleader posts too but the evidence is overwhelming against Prosper. I think the Fool.com article is just the beginning of bad press.

To Prosper's credit... It did allow me to get a loan to bridge me over to the Fall semester 2007 before I was mobilized to go to Iraq. Gave me a little bit of a break from my 2 high % CC's. Prosper is good for borrowers... bad for a large percentage Lenders. If Fred93 can only hang on to a profit with his skills.. what chance would I have. Not good imo.

How long has Loanio been in the 'quiet period'?  I forgot that I registered on their web site back in November, but can't figure out why I didn't do anything with it at that time.  I guess it was in the quiet period then too.

Can anyone confirm or refute this?
