More than shucking and jiving, he's talking out both sides of his mouth.  IOW, I didn't mean it, but even if I did it's okay.

are you trying to spin me? let me quote the piece about bad neighborhoods that you linked to

Don't participate in link schemes designed to increase your site's ranking or PageRank. In particular, avoid links to web spammers or "bad neighborhoods" on the web, as your own ranking may be affected adversely by those links.
obviously this has to do with page ranking, not what should be done if mother theresa is reading your website

You are trying to spin me.  Yes, I referenced the Google definition, but it doesn't mean it's the only one.  From the beginning I referenced the name calling and insulting as something that is undesirable.  An idiot wouldn't be able to understand that, but you are not an idiot.

Quote from: Prosper Lender Registration Agreement
13. Prohibited Activities. You agree that you will not do the following, in connection with any listings, bids, loans or other transactions involving or potentially involving Prosper:

. . .

b.Charge, or attempt to charge, any Prosper borrower any fee in exchange for your agreement to bid on a borrower's listing, or propose or agree to accept any fee, bonus, additional interest, kickback, or thing of value of any kind, in exchange for your agreement to bid on a borrower's listing;

I fail to see the word "endorsement" in that, but keep trying.

Are you still having trouble with the quote feature?

Another bob and weave. Your offer included an endorsement AND A BID. Keep dancing.

At this point, lazyman, you're deflecting and off-topic.

The reality is: you blogged about an endorsement scheme, for "satirical purposes", and admitted you wanted to come across as sleazy.

Congratulations!  It worked!  You come across as sleazy.

So what are you complaining about?  You got your desired result  :)

Thank prospers.org for giving you what you wanted.

Anything else you want to talk about, or is this gonna just degenerate into mud-slinging?  We frown on that in the lobby.  Feel free to come inside.  :)

"Give me that money plus 50% and I’ll bid on your loan."  = direct quote from your website.

I don't know whether it would be allowed. That's beside the point. The point is this:
1. You're violating Prosper's TOS.
2. Your endorsement would be completely worthless. That's fraudulent in my book, even if it's not against TOS to make worthless endorsements. It's fraudulent because you would actually have incentive to endorse lousy borrowers as well as good one, since you risk nothing at all. You may not call it fraudulent--we can disagree about that--but it certainly makes you look like a sleaze.

Oh yeah, the other point is :
3. You're shucking and jiving to make it look like you didn't really mean it. More sleaze.

1.  Again the TOS is about bidding not endorsing.  My offer was to bid how I want to, but allow someone to buy the endorsement if I choose to bid.
2.  I agree it would be completely worthless.  That is the point that I'm trying to make!  Endorsements can be bought and sold and we have no one way of knowing if that is going on behind the scenes or not.  As such, Prosper shouldn't be promoting their value.  It's a scam waiting to happen
3.  I'm not shucking and jiving... I was clear in the original post which hasn't changed.  The purpose of the post is to get Prosper's attention.  I spelled it in very unambiguous words, "I want Prosper to look at endorsements and say, 'Is this really the right model? Can we make it better?' Innovation occurs when  a potential problem is exposed. Perhaps 'buying an endorsement' doesn’t qualify as a problem in Prosper’s eyes."

I did mean it.  I haven't said otherwise.  Everyone has just misinterpreted the meaning.

Then stop nesting quotes or get a BB system that matches them up properly.

I didn't admit to wanting to come across as sleazy, but sounding dirty.  The point of "sounding dirty" was to be satirical to get Prosper's attention.  I didn't get the desired result, I haven't heard from them Prosper.  Again, thanks for the assumptions on my purpose.

I didn't start the mud-slinging.  It was here before I even started posting.  Perhaps you remember:
He's an idiot.  I left a comment for him too...

I didn't put this in the lobby, I don't have that kind of power.  If you have a problem with it being here, I think you know the people to contact.
