Quote from: The Article
And wouldn’t you know it? Of all of the loans that Prosper helped originate in its first three years, just over one-third went bad. The average investor lost 4.95 percent annually on the loans made during that period. Former lenders now spew bile toward the company on the user forums at Prospers.org, and the company is the target of a class-action suit.

I'm sure Chris Larsen was overjoyed to see that article.   ;D

Another great quote:

Quote
Mr. Larsen managed to bring Prosper back from the brink only by raising its standards. He is, in effect, calling a do-over. “In some ways, the industry just starts now,” he said.

So, we were right with Prosper 1.0, 2.0 and the like.

Yeah, where is his apology to all the lenders suckers who sank $150 million or whatever into his craptastic venture?

Spew bile?

It's unfortunate that this quote was not attributed to its source.

That would seems to be two more than you really need.

I wonder where they got that 4.95% from....

Hint. Look at my signature.

More specifically look here.

Thanks for the reference...

I do all the dirty work and get none of the credit.

I guess this is LC's response to the last 2 Prosper blog posts. I can hear the escalation of the catfight already.

I don't have a problem with the terminology in the context of the article. With mention of the class action suit it's only normal that some of the early lenders are a bit out of shape over the whole debacle.

"Once again, we note that your threats are hollow and you come across like a sad, lonely blowhard.

I doubt anyone here gives a shit about you.  We pretty much all know that you are a vile and unethical parasite of a human being with an abnormal craving for attention."
