They've also been running radio ads during conservative talk shows.

You're kidding?  I thought they were DailyKoz people?

They were even advertising borrowing.

You would think they would advertise lending on conservative shows and borrowing on liberal shows.  Then they could even tell the borrowers not to bother making any payments, not that they need to be told.

Did anyone read the fine print on who can be shown on TV while at PD08?
Are any royalties going to be paid to those being shown on these TV/Radio commercials and how much?

The last two videos, "Meet Real Prosper Borrowers" and "Meet Real Prosper Lenders" do not appear to be commercial advertisements, but merely promotional videos.

Wasn't that what the whole "borrowing on Daytime TV shows" and "lending on late-night slots" idea was about?

I'll wager Mike Savage would shill for the lending side for pretty cheap - and his listeners buy anything he sells... ::)

Those cashfunder people have 1 default... $100 netted them $28.50...  Aren't most debt sales around 3-5%?

The loan in question.

As a borrower, I can imagine it would be advantageous to know how much a JDB paid for a bad debt.  Talk about leverage.

hmmmmmmmmmmm....

Just how many dings do you get on your credit report if you default on your loan, after 2 payments to throw off DoFu's lawyers, then pay the JDB 10 cents on the dollar (assuming he paid 5 cents on the dollar) to "discharge" the debt?

A lot, but the dings weighted as heavily (re: FICO score) in about 12 months.  It just shows up as a paid collection.
