Probably related to the guy in Florida who was asked by Prosper to participate in an interview.

Now, just watch them put borrower-ads on during day-time programming (along with payday, insurance and personal injury) and lender ads late at night - geared to the get-rich-quick infomercial crowd.

Besides - I am guessing that all they can afford is going to be these "less than stellar demographic" time slots - and likely on deep cable in Georgia, Florida and Texas.

They probably should run 30 minute infomercials late at night in between episodes of how to buy houses with no money down & show people who made $8,497.00 the first week.

Yes.  But they really don't have a choice.  If they don't quadruple the volume of loans, this whole project will fail anyway.  They've already milked viral marking & the magazine, news & print media for all they could.  Media is now board with p2p period.  They've pissed of their best supporters so viral marketing is now out.  Now they have to go after it the old fashioned way.

The nonpaying loan sits for months and months before it is even sold. Finally, it is sold for pennies on the dollar, for lenders representing 92 cents lost for each dollar invested

Prosper, let's rip off lenders together.

OMFG. i watched the ads....
They want the ads to run BEFORE the debt sale. Now the numbers they use are legit untill the sale. At the time the ads will run the stats will technicaly be good.

Of course we all know thats bs.
