What's pathetic is that the people who are condemning it are the same people who will end up benefiting if it becomes a class action suit. It's funny that it seems to be the blenders who always come to P-----r's defense.
Even if we somehow got Prosper shut down, think of all the people we would save from losing their money.
Gog, why do you think lenders are noisy? Try deadbeat borrowers, and crap collections. If we were making money, I suspect many of us would be quietly - and happily - still lending.

However, i think I will compose a longer, and more witty response and start a new thread. Since my response goes more to Prosper's fundamental model.I'll post it soon(ish). Or at least 2-3 gins later.
I think Prosper would have much better results if the Lenders had some more pre-Lending training.

Have some sort of pre-lending training on confidentiality of personally identifiable information, and2. Have some sort of training on how to use the tools that Prosper makes available, such as interpreting the "additional credit data" and how that reflects on risk of lending to those with those types of numbers.Of course, Prosper eventually deleted those old forums and tried to have the archive of those forums deleted. Anyone see any educational material from Prosper? The most definitive thing I have seen was one lender in one of the Prosper Days videos recommend that we try our assumptions on the Performance page.
Class action lawsuits only punish the Defendants and enrich the lawyers. The never benefit the people filing the suit.
