No.  I didn't lend the last time because of what I knew then.

No.  Given the tanking of the stock market, I've generated some capital losses that exceed the $3K a year limit.  With Prosper interest income, I end up paying top marginal interest on my loan income but my losses get queued up due to a $3k limit.

A very bad deal all round because I can't deduct my losses to offset my interest income.

Given the state of the current prospectus (Prosper owns the Note), it is not even worth considering until Prosper comes to a point where they are financially stable.  As far as I am concerned, Lending Club is in the same boat.

I said may be because I would lend again if they made certain changes.

I said Maybe because I don't like to completely burn bridges.  However, the odds are about 95% against ever lending again right now.

invalid poll - no WGAF   ;D

I might throw one snickers in - only if it was a particularly special loan.  like I knew the guy and vetted them myself or something.

No-  although most of the loans have been and are being paid, most certainly including those to several folks here, the combination of my gullibility lack ability to analyze credit risk and Prosper's weak collections ability (and the economy...) will keep me from doing more.

I think the OP has not read much in these forums.  If s/he had, they'd have put in a stipulation that the company had to be operated in a legal, business-like manner.  I don't think we've seen any indication of that in the two years I've been reading.

Yeah, because Prosper has been one of the greatest learning experiences ever. For a couple of bucks I got to peer inside the dark heart of the human soul.
